What is laser season?

Laser season is the time of year that is ideal to treat any sun damage and signs of aging! Laser season begins in late fall and usually ends mid spring. This time of year is ideal because clients and patients are typically less active outside, have less social commitments and are more consistent with following daily skin care regimens. For example, wearing sunscreen, using retinol and Vitamin C products; which generate better client and patient outcomes.

What is a laser? 

A laser uses thermal energy to target the epidermal and dermal layers of the skin. The thermal energy absorption will create a controlled wound which stimulates the dermal repair process resulting in skin rejuvenation.  Fractionated lasers are the most common laser for minimal downtime treatments. Fractionated means creating micro channels in the skin with intervening “skip” areas that promote healing. This is different from the traditional fully ablative lasers that require significant downtime.
