How does it work?

How many treatments do you need?

Most areas require 6-12 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart to achieve optimal hair reduction. Importance of staying on track with appointments is key for success with hair reduction.
Hair grows in 3 stages: anagen, catagen and telogen. Hair reduction technologies can only treat hairs in the anagen phase also known as the active growth phase. Since not all hairs are in the same growth stage at the same time a series of treatments is necessary.

How do I prepare for a hair removal treatment? 

  •  Avoidance of sun exposure and sunless tanner in the areas that will be treated is necessary.
  • Area to be treated should be clean shaven 12-24 hours prior to appointment.
  • No waxing or tweezing at least 4 weeks prior to appointment.
  • Hair should be dark and course, the broad band light will not reduce white or vellus hair.

Post Care Requirements

  • Minimal downtime, you may experience mild redness in the treated area, that dissipates within hours after treatment.
  • Avoidance of sun exposure and exercise for 24 hours is recommended.

How many Treatments will I need?

What type of downtime will I have? 

BBL is a non invasive treatment with virtually no downtime. Most common side effects are a mild sunburn sensation, redness, and darkening of sun damage that will slough off after 7-10 days. The avoidance of sun exposure is crucial for your success with a BBL series. Makeup can be applied immediately post treatment.
Patients can resume most activities the same day of treatment.
